Where it all began
In 1989, our founders were employed building industrial machinery & equipment. They noticed their customers kept asking for the electrical controls and computer equipment to go with the machinery.
To address this need, they founded Controllink with a singular focus: electrical controls and their integration into industrial equipment.
As computers began finding their way onto the factory floor, what started as a focus on control panel fabrication quickly grew to meet the expanding needs of customers.

Customers today need a full turnkey systems integrator: one capable of bridging design, manufacturing, controls engineering, and PLC programming in an increasingly networked industrial world.
Controllink has built out those capabilities while remaining vendor-neutral, drawing on the best available technologies across manufacturers rather than defaulting to any single one.
Growing to meet demand
In 2000, we expanded to our Elgin facility, purpose-built to handle the construction and testing of systems of all sizes.
Acceptance testing is a core part of our quality assurance process, ensuring the integrity of every design, program, and build we deliver.
Today, Controllink is a full-service system integrator serving clients across the country and around the world. Our sister company, Dynamic Electric, extends that offering as a full-service industrial electrical contractor handling installations, large projects, and ongoing maintenance.
